The combination of parametric analysis and SANS-XA (a mandatory energy calculation required for council submission in South Africa) can be very worthwhile. The base model can be used for both calculations, instantly saving money by combining the work. On top of that, the parametric study tells us how the building can be constructed more cost-effectively while being more comfortable and using less energy.
